Missing Beats

A coming-of-age story about Lin Hongsheng, an introverted Chinese-American high school student who struggles with language barriers and cultural isolation. Through Beatbox, he gains confidence and a sense of belonging, but as he immerses himself in his passion, he neglects his father — only realizing the depth of his father’s love after his sudden passing.
